A drop-in exhibit and reception that features the work and the service learning partnership between the Archway Partnership and the College of Environment and Design.The Archway Partnership and the College of Environment & Design have been working together for the past seven years to fulfill the University of Georgia’s land-grant mission by partnering directly with communities to provide knowledge and expertise to Georgia counties facing significant issues related to economic and community development.This past summer, the Archway Partnership connected students (graduate, 4; undergraduate, 13) with civic leaders, community members, and governmental agencies from six Archway communities. Projects included, but were not limited to, landscape plans, gateway and entrance designs, trail design, streetscape design, and neighborhood and regional revitalization plans. The Archway communities involved were: Clayton County, Hartwell/Hart County, Dalton/Whitfield County, Moultrie/Colquitt County, Hawkinsville/Pulaski County, and Cairo/Grady County.
