Three graduate students from the Department of Romance Languages will give 15-minute presentations. Presentations include: “The Deification of the Post-Modern Tragic Man in Patrícia Melo’s 'O Matador' ” by Tonia Wind; “Histoire and Histoires: Storytelling as an Act of Resistance in Rufin's 'Globalia' ” by Rachel Paparon; and “Social Ideology and Exclusion of Disabled Alterity in the Short Story 'A enxada' by Bernardo Élis and the Novel 'Menino de Engenho' by José Lins do Rego” by Samuel dos Santos.
