Florida experienced some common recruiting turbulence this week with two players de-committing and a new one jumping on board.
The Gators went into Alabama’s backyard to pluck TE Cyontia Lewis from Northridge HS in Tuscaloosa, according to multiple media reports. Lewis (6-5, 210) has not been offered by the Crimson Tide at this point; his only other offer is from Mississippi State.
Prior to Lewis’ commitment, which is nonbinding until he signs a letter of intent or enrolls, Florida lost LB Christian Miller and WR Ryeshene Bronson. Both prospects de-committed this week, but still are considering the Gators.
Miller, from Columbia, S.C., had only been committed to UF for three months. Bronson, meanwhile, is a local prospect out of Fort Myers-Dunbar and originally gave the Gators his word last June.
