When the 8th-ranked Louisville baseball team travels to Lexington tonight for a rivalry showdown with No. 17 Kentucky, the Cards won't be wearing their ordinary road reds.
Instead, U of L will be wearing these patriotic unis to honor America:

Before you ask (again), I don't know where or even if you can buy the hat. Rest assured, however, that I think it is cool too.
First pitch for the Cards and the Cats is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. You'll be able to watch the game live on Fox Sports South, or hear Sean Moth's sweet call on 1570 AM.
Louisville leads the all-time series against Kentucky 59-34-1, but will be out for revenge tonight after falling to the Cats 5-4 in extra innings earlier this month. After splitting the season series for four straight years, UK swept Louisville in 2011 before the Cards returned the favor last season.
Much like sports fans who start really honing their college hoops focus after the Super Bowl, the second Louisville/Kentucky baseball game always sort of symbolizes the start of the U of L baseball "season" to me. Basketball's done, we've had a short period of time to recover, and now it's time to see what we've been missing with Dan McDonnell and the boys.
Go Louisville, beat Kentucky.
