Don't double check, you haven't read this post before. I mean, you kind of have, but not really.
For the second time today, Charlie Strong has received a commitment from a class of 2014 player from Florida. Just hours after Jacksonville offensive lineman Kavaris Harkless became a Cardinal, Lake Worth safety Marques Gayot chose to dot the same.
Gayot, a thee-star recruit according to Rivals, is a 6'1, 190-pound athlete who runs a 4.6 forty.
Though Gayot wanted to reserve a spot in Charlie Strong's rapidly expanding 2014 recruiting class, it sounds like he might be swayed if a school like Florida (heh) comes calling at some point during his senior season.
"As of right now, yes, I am committed," Gayot told ESPN.com. "But I am also keeping my options open. The main part for me was that Louisville is the place to be."
Strong and company have not tolerated waffling in the past, so this might be a situation to keep an eye on.
For now, the two Cardinal commitments on Tuesday have moved Louisville up to No. 14 on 247 Sports' rankings of the top 2014 classes.
Gayot joins fellow Florida safety Michael Johnson as the second defensive back in U of L's class of '14. He is the fifth player to commit to the Cards in five days.
