The "Dare Coach D" series finally made its way to the men's basketball team this week, and State's new football coach was forced to participate in the most grueling portion of the team's workouts--trick shot practice.
He made a layup off the shot clock in a brazen show of contempt for the concept of time in sports. Time as a quantifiable concept is the comfort food of existence, and it certainly has no place in basketball or football. That was the theme of Drew Hughes' more recent recruiting leaflets, if I'm not mistaken.
