Befitting an offseason Sunday, there isn't much news being made. Reports have us still considering Nnamdi Asomugha and vice versa. There are thoughts that we could still be on the prowl for another safety. Not much else is being said about our beloved 49ers. So that's it, really. Most observers still assume we're trying to upgrade our secondary through FA. Secondary and defensive line are two of the positions of greatest need, but there is some youth in the secondary. On defensive line, we are aged. Drafting some young blood is a must. In the secondary...
BASG has the 49ers as still in the hunt for a free agent safety to add to the mix. He gives three, Charles Woodson, Kerry Rhodes and Michael Huff, who, if the market doesn't pan out for them, may be pounced on by Trent Baalke. | Bargain-hunting 49ers could be waiting out these three safeties (BASG)
And for those of you wishing the 49ers sign Nnamdi, don't give up, there's still hope. | Niners, Nnamdi won't talk contract until he finishes his free agent visits (Inman)
Eric Branch believes, as do I, that the 49ers will be drafting a safety early. Branch explains why the 49ers might have brought Craig Dahl in instead of one of the more splashy free agent options. | Hello, Dahl? What led 49ers to former Rams safety. (Branch)

Matt Barrows made one of the best tweets I've seen this offseason, included below. So many people were freaking out about the 49ers early personnel moves, Barrows was forced to defend Trent Baalke, both in tweet and article form. | What the heck is Trent Baalke doing?!?! Exactly what he did two years ago, that's what (Barrows)
GM Trent Baalke must be ecstatic. The last time he had this many people calling him an idiot, he was named NFL Executive of the Year. (2011)— Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows) March 16, 2013
