Aimee Copeland Blood Drives at UGa

By Tim Bryant

There are two Red Cross blood drives today at UGa, both in honor of University alum Aimee Copeland, the University of West Georgia graduate student who is battling a flesh eating bacteria in the aftermath of a May ziplining accident in Carroll County. The 24 year-old Copeland underwent multiple amputations and remains hospitalized in Augusta. Today’s blood drives are set for 11 til 5 at Memorial Hall and from 2 til 7 in UGa’s Reed Hall.
