There is word from overnight of what sounds like an announcement of sorts from 10th District Congressman Paul Broun: the wife of the Athens Republican has told a Gwinnett County audience that her husband will in fact be a candidate in the race to replace retiring U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss. There has been no official announcement from the congressman himself. Republican Chambliss announced last week that he will not run for another term in 2014.
