The three-day candidate qualifying period ends today. Candidates have til noon to sign up to run in Georgia’s July primaries. Hunter Bicknell qualified Thursday, ending his campaign for Congress and running instead for reelection as Chair of the Jackson County Commission. Bicknell had been among the five Republicans running in a 9th District that stretches from Athens north to the state line.
