A Barrow County man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Oconee County: the wreck happened Monday on Atlanta Highway in Bogart. The driver, 31 year-old Benjamin Fitzpatrick of Winder, was the only person in the truck that crashed between Dials Mill Road and Osceola Avenue. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating. The Oconee County accident was one of two northeast Georgia crashes that involved fatalities: the other Memorial Day weekend wreck was in Rabun County. William Martin was 63 years old, from Duncan South Carolina. He was killed in a crash in Mountain City.
