Governor Nathan Deal addressed a gathering of state lawmakers Tuesday afternoon in Athens, putting the wraps on the Biennial Legislative Institute that started Sunday. The Governor talked about upcoming budget challenges the General Assembly will face when the new session starts in January, and he told reporters he is “not completely sold” on a proposed funding plan for a new Atlanta Falcons football stadium, a proposal that calls for partial taxpayer support for the stadium that would be built somewhere in downtown Atlanta. It’s a plan that will require legislative approval.
