The DOT says work starts this summer on reconfiguring the Highway 10 Loop on Athens’ east side: the light that stops traffic at Peter Street and Olympic Drive will be replaced with an interstate-style set of exit and entrance ramps. It’s a $23 million job that is expected to be completed by May of 2016.
