Five Georgia schools, including one in Madison County, are gearing up to participate in the second annual Feed My School for a Week program. The program, run by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, is aimed at teaching children about proper nutrition and healthy eating habits. Part of the program for 2013 includes serving lunches that feature foods grown in Georgia. The program includes taste tests, guest speakers and contests. Colbert Elementary school is taking part in the program, as are schools in Savannah, Suwanee, Lizella, and Cairo.
