The forecast calls for four consecutive days of triple-digit temperatures for Athens and northeast Georgia, with some forecast models saying Saturday’s mercury could top out at 108 degrees. 108 is, according to the National Weather Service, the all-time high temperature for Athens, recorded four times, most recently in 1930.
