Tripp Halstead could leave hospital later this month

There is more cautious optimism from the family of Tripp Halstead, the Barrow County boy who suffered a critical brain injury last October: they say he could be released from an Atlanta hospital by the end of the month. Tripp was 2 years old when he was hit by a falling tree limb at a daycare center in Winder, a limb brought down by high winds from Hurricane Sandy. He’s been hospitalized ever since and has undergone multiple surgeries.
