UGa forecasters: sluggish economic growth

Georgia's economic growth will outpace the nation's in 2013 but job recovery will be slow as the state rebounds from the Great Recession of 2008. Dr. Robert Sumichrast, Dean of the Terry College of Business at UGA made his prediction at the University's annual Economic Outlook Luncheon in Atlanta, a Thursday session at the Georgia World Congress Center. Sumichrast says Georgia has done much right in competing for new industry but lags surrounding states in competition for high tech, high paying jobs.
