Extreme Cold Forces Russians to Evacuate

Emergency workers set to work on burst pipes that have forced thousands of Russians out of their homes. At least 123 people have died in a cold spell in Russia's Far East and Siberia, where temperatures have reached minus 55 Celsius. When old pipelines burst in one region, more than 3,000 people had to evacuate to shelters in hospitals and schools with heating. One local says the temperature is below zero in her home and residents are melting snow to get water.
