There are literally hundreds of reporters from around the nation - and around the world - here in Denver for the first debate between President Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney; most of us are working out of a gymnasium on the campus of the University of Denver, which is the center of the U.S. political universe today.
Three rows up front were set aside for the Romney traveling press corps - across the aisle, three rows were set aside for the White House press corps.
The rest of us are sitting in row after row of work space here. As usual, I seem to get seated near my friends at the Christian Broadcasting Network, as reporter David Brody and his trust producer Dana Brown Ritter have been at many of these same events.
Why are we often next to each other? It's pretty simple - CBN is almost always next to COX when they do this stuff alphabetically.
