Martha's Blog 01/08

Previous Posts

By Steven Bentley

It was great to see O'Reilly pick up on "We the People" by Ray Stevens.  My column on it came out in Human Events yesterday and I blogged about it here.  Maybe there's a connection. I look forward to another generation of listeners to latch on the Ray Stevens.

It's a snowy morning and I'm heading to the studio.  I'm allowing myself plenty of time to get there, so keep it tuned to 103.7 for the latest in weather news in your home town.

Yesterday the president gave a speech about the attempted bombing on Christmas day. While he said the right things and finally said we were at war with Al Qaeda, as well as being at war, but I'm still concerned he can't draw the line.  The head of counter terrorism, Michael Leiter, who went skiing after the attack, should be fired. (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jan/08/white-house-backs-counterterrorism-center-chief/). He was skiing while his team was working round the clock, that's now leadership.  (http://news.google.com/news?q=obama&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&sa=N&tab=ln).

Don't forget to sign the petition to Let the Cameras In at LetTheCamerasIn.com  and log onto Human Events at humanevent.com and sign the petition to keep KSM out of New York.

Finally, did you see Lou Dobbs last night talking about immigration reform?  He had some good common sense ideas with border security first.  (http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/washington-whispers/2010/01/04/lou-dobbs-sets-his-agenda.html)

Hope you are safe and warm and see you on the radio....
