DALLAS—Celebrated actress, radio host and political commentator Janine Turner debuts her new column for PJ Media today with a commentary urging conservative women not to remain silent in the face of liberal propaganda.

 In the commentary, Turner states that conservative women often avoid controversy when confronted with liberal propaganda such as recent claims by Democrats of a “Republican war on women” or false claims that “Republicans are trying to take away our birth control.”

“(Conservative women) do not enter the fray because they know the risks,” Turner writes. “They know that Democrats, not able to defend their wiles with wisdom, will attack the Republican women’s character. They know that Democrats cannot have a reasonable conversation, and a brouhaha will ensue.”

 But the stakes for our nation are too high, Turner believes, for conservative women to remain silent. “It is now crucial for conservatives to roll up their sleeves and join the debate,” she writes.

In her column, Turner urges conservatives to remember the acronym “GIRLFRIENDS” to engage Democratic friends in a thoughtful and civil discussion of the issues facing America: 

G:        Get reasonable

I:          Informed on the issue of government funding of contraception

R:        Republicans are the women’s party that championed passage of the 19^th Amendment

L:         Legislative liberty is lost

F:         Fuel/energy policies are hurting America

R:        Return women to the workforce: 92 percent of all jobs lost under President Obama were women’s jobs

I:          Insolvency: our government is sinking in a sea of debt

E:         Entitlement society: America has gone from “Give me liberty or give me death to “Gimme, Gimme!,” Turner writes

N:        National security: current Democratic policies have left America vulnerable

D:        Darkness: Democratic energy policies would leave America without the energy needed to fuel the economy

S:         Sick: Obamacare will fundamentally damage America’s health care services

 “Men and women, get out and talk to your GIRLFRIENDS,” Turner urges. “We can convert Democrats to reason…but we have to enter the fray to do it.”
