Zoller and Bryant: Inaugural and Debt Ceiling Debate, Georgia Economy, UGA and Black Mold, Timbo on the Falcons

What did you think of the Inaugural.  It's the moment we celebrate our Republic.  It hurts if you're the loser and feels great if your are the winner.  Beyonce' stole the show and was more popular than the President. Now we shift gears to governing. Republicans see the writing on the wall and need some time to rally the troops.  Their philosophy is put something out these small like, "we'll give you the debt ceiling increase for three months but you've got to pass a budget in the Senate.  If you don't, we are going to take a pay cut. "  That's a small thing with a deadline that begins to right this ship in the correct direction.

There were some Georgia angles to the inagural.  Mayor Kasim Reed played a role. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/atlanta-mayor-be-part-inauguration-ceremony/nT2RY/  and a Georgia  man restores MLK Bible for Obama inauguration http://savannahnow.com/latest-news/2013-01-18/ga-man-restores-mlk-bible-obama-inauguration. The president savored the moment, and turned around to take another look.  The next time he walks through that hallway will be in 4 years to pass off to a Republican or swear in Hillary Clinton. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/21/obamas-inaugural-address_n_2521277.html

Georgia has mixed economic news with new hiring and banking issues that just won't go away. I talked to Governor Deal about it yesterday and he's got a lot on the horizon. But we still have the battle of the growth in "working poor" families. http://www.gpb.org/news/2013/01/21/more-working-poor-families-in-georgia .  Catapillar is hiring in our next of the woods but we've got lots of work to do in Georgia.

UGA is building all over but there are problems with the existing buildings. http://gradynewsource.uga.edu/blog/2013/01/16/mold-in-fine-arts/

And Tim Bryant is back and he'll tell us his thoughts on the Falcons and the future of Atlanta Falcons football.
